Driving a Car Hire in Dallas

A great way to begin your visit to Dallas is by driving your car hire into the city centre and explore Thanks-Giving Square, an area that symbolizes the cities focus on multiculturalism and tolerance. Lush grassy areas, ponds and fountains make up the square, with the highlight being the Chapel of Thanksgiving, which contains a world famous spiral tower featuring an impressive number of stained glass windows on the ceiling.

Not far from here you can visit an attraction that is truly unique to Dallas, the Sixth Floor Museum. Located in the building from which John F Kennedy allegedly shot, the museum tells of the life, death and legacy of the late US president.

For a great attraction that the whole family will enjoy, jump in your car hire and head a short distance southwest from the city centre to Dallas Zoo, the largest zoo in Texas. Home to over 8000 animals from all over the world, the zoo is a world class attraction and great fun for both young and old alike.

Further west, in the bordering city of Fort Worth, you can visit a unique attraction which offers an insight into how this part of the world evolved, the National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum. With detailed examples and displays on how various people and nationalities helped shape the culture which exists in the area today, you ill learn of the influence Hispanic and Native American Indians had on the American West, a great way to gain an understanding of the region in which you are holidaying.
