Drive a Rental Car in Flagstaff

As you near Flagstaff, it will become quite clear why this area is so special. Pine forests cover large mountains, interrupted by fields and valleys. A great way to find out about the area is to visit the Museum of Northern Arizona, located in the northern part of the city. Here you can learn about the history of the area and the people that have call it home.

These mountains have been inhabited for thousands of year, and a short drive from Flagstaff with your rental car you can visit a rare and unusual site indeed. Built over 20 metres above the ground in limestone cliffs, Montezuma Castle is a 5 story dwelling built here over 1300 years ago, a truly remarkable building.

Jump in your hire car and head northeast from here, where you can visit another impressive site, the Montezuma Well. This is a giant waterhole, fed by underwater springs and home to several unique animals that are found nowhere else in the world.

Depending on what kind of activities you like to do, Flagstaff has it all. To the north is Arizona Snowbowl, which is a highly popular ski field, and to the east is Meteor Crater, which as the name suggests, is a giant crater created by a meteorite.
