For a unique nature experience, drive a short distance south from Port Macquarie to Sea Acres Nature Reserve, located on the coastline. A large protected area, the reserve contains several kinds of rainforests with raised boardwalks throughout. Bordering the shore means this is one of the few places you can walk directly from a lush rainforest onto the beach, offering an amazing day out enjoying the local nature.
