Drive a Hire Car in Tel Aviv

When you are ready to start exploring Tel Aviv, jump in your hire car and drive into the city centre, where the modern bustling city awaits. A great place to visit and get an idea of the city is the Azrieli Centre, found right near the centre. Made up of 3 towers, the centre was built in the 1990s and is among the tallest buildings in the city. Head up to the top level of the circular tower, the tallest of the three, where from 187m above the streets below you will get a fantastic view of the city. Not far from the towers you can also visit the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, which houses great collections of mainly modern and contemporary art, and also includes a kids museum, great for the whole family!

A short drive north of here with your hire car, you can find out a little about the culture that makes up the nation, at the Beth Hatefutesoth, also known as The Museum of the Jewish Diaspora. The museum details Jewish life throughout the ages, with displays on well known figures of the past, as well as genealogy, communities and music.

Although the city of Tel Aviv is quite young at barely 100 years of age, a short distance south lies one of the oldest settlements in the world. Although these days regarded as neighbourhood of modern Tel Aviv, Jaffa has been settled for many thousands of years, and trading as a port since before biblical times. Drive your hire car down to Jaffa, and experience the completely unique setting and atmosphere compared to the modern city it is now part of. See the historic architecture, perhaps check out the famous flea market, and be sure to head up to Summit Hill, where you will get a fantastic view of the coastline.
