Vehicle Preparation Fee: Mandatory charge, paid on collection. USD100 + Tax /rental.
Includes all pre-cleaning and mechanical servicing, 1st tank of propane gas, 1st set of toilet chemicals and vehicle kit (pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, broom, dust bin).
Mileage: Standard rates - Approx. AUD170 per 500 mile package, must be pre-arranged & prepaid in Australian Dollars. Unlimited Miles Included in Inclusive rates. Additional miles paid locally at a rate of USD0.40 /km. No additional mileage packages are available at time of pick up.
Colorado Road Safety Fee: Standard rates - Mandatory charge for Denver collections. USD2 + Tax /night, max USD90 + Tax /rental. Included in Inclusive rates.
Burning Man Festival Surcharge: An additional surcharge of USD750 applies for travel to the Burning Man festival between 25 August 2012-02 September 2012.
One Way Fees: Standard rates - Minimum 7 nights. One way fees apply between USD150-350 + Tax /rental for collecting and returning at different locations, refer to DriveAway Holidays for full details. Included in Inclusive rates. One way specials include:
- One way fee waived from San Francisco to Las Vegas, Denver or Los Angeles, between 04 September 2012 and 29 September 2012 as the latest drop off.
Conditions:
Calculation of Rates: Flex rates, per night.
Minimum Age: 21 years.
Maximum Age: No limit. For drivers 75 years of age or over, a current medical certificate stating that the customer is fi t to drive for the duration of the hire is required upon vehicle collection.
Licence Requirement: All drivers must have held a full, valid licence for a minimum of 2 years. The drivers licence must be current and be valid for the whole duration of the rental. If the driver’s licence is not in the English language then an international driver’s licence is also recommended. An accredited English translation will be accepted in lieu of an international driving permit.
Minimum Rental: 01 October 11-31 March 12: 5 nights. 01 April 12-30 June 12 & 01 October 11-31 March 12: 3 nights. 01 July 12-30 September 12: 7 nights. Subject to change in peak periods i.e. Christmas.
Collection Time: Monday-Friday: Pick up time is anytime during office hours. Saturday: Latest pick up is 11am.
Return Time: Monday-Friday: Return time is anytime during office hours prior to 4pm. Saturday: Latest drop off is 11am.
Branch Hours: Monday to Friday from 9am-4.30pm. Saturday from 9am-12pm. All depots are closed on Sundays and on all statutory holidays including Easter, Thanksgiving Day, Memorial Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, New Year’s Day.
After Hours: Available on request for an additional charge.

Personal Kits: Standard rates - USD50 + Tax /person. Included in Inclusive rates. Includes sleeping bag, pillow, bath towel and tea towel.
Camp Chairs: Standard rates - USD10 + Tax per chair /rental. Included in Inclusive rates if required & prebooked.
Camp Table: Standard rates - USD20 + Tax /rental. Included in Inclusive rates if required & prebooked.
GPS: USD100 + Tax /rental. Included in Inclusive rates.
Baby Seats (6 months-3 years): Must be prebooked. Standard rates - USD40 + Tax /rental. Included in Inclusive rates if required & prebooked.
Booster Seats (3-8 years): Must be prebooked. Standard rates - USD40 + Tax /rental. Included in Inclusive rates if required & prebooked.
First Aid Kits: A First Aid kit is supplied in every vehicle. If the seal is broken or the kit is not returned the kit becomes the property of the renter and an USD50 + Tax fee is charged when the vehicle is returned.
Generator Usage: USD3 + Tax /hour, payable at time of drop off.
Toilet Chemicals: USD2.50 + Tax each.
Insurance/Excess Reduction:
Insurance Excess (Standard Liability): Standard rates - USD1,500 + Tax /incident. Inclusive rates - Standard Liability is Nil.
Liability Reduction Option (LRO) : Standard rates - USD15 + Tax /night, max USD600 + Tax /rental, reduces the the Insurance Excess/Liability to Nil. Included in Inclusive rates.

Additional Information:
Transfers: Vehicles must be collected and returned to Apollo branches (not airports). Transfers to and from the Apollo depot are not included in the rental price. It is the renter’s responsibility to get to and from the branch.
Vehicle Age: Approx. 0-3 years. Vehicles cannot be requested by model, mileage or age, only by vehicle category.
Security Deposit: Cash - Not available. Credit Card or Debit Card - Required. Standard rates - deposit debited USD1,500 or USD500, depending on the insurance cover the client has. Inclusive rates - deposit debited USD500. Apollo accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club.
Animals in Vehicle: No animals are permitted inside the motorhomes, except guide dogs.
Smoking in Vehicles: Smoking is not permitted in any of the vehicles.
Fuel: Client is advised to return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel, the same as collection.
Storage: Not available at the Apollo depots.
Cleaning Fee: Indoor cleaning charges will apply if the vehicle is not returned clean.
Tax: Tax is applied to those items paid at time of collection.

Travel Restrictions:
- Travel to Mexico, Alaska, Yukon and Northwest Territories and Newfoundland is strictly prohibited.
- Death Valley: Vehicles are not allowed to operate in Death Valley and other desert areas during 15 May to 15 September due to extremely high temperatures which can cause system failures.
- Manhattan: Travel is not permitted into the Inner city of New York (Manhattan).
- Apollo reserves the right at its sole discretion to restrict vehicle movements in certain areas due to adverse road or weather conditions, and the distance to nominated destinations in relation to the length of the rental period.
