Namibia Motorhome Rental

Motorhome Hire in Namibia

Namibia Motorhome rental

Located on the west coast of Africa, Namibia is a unique country, featuring an exciting combination of old and new. On one hand Namibia is a young nation, having only gained independence in 1990, while on the other hand it has been inhabited since ancient times, with many cultures surviving to this day in the form of rural towns and villages, found in completely undeveloped lands. One of the least populated countries by size in the world, Namibia’s attractions are found far and wide, and with your Motorhome, you will be able to explore the far reaches of this impressive country for yourself!

Most travellers visiting Namibia arrive into Windhoek, the nation’s capital city, and also the collection point for Motorhomes. While in Windhoek, you can visit many of Namibia’s historical and cultural buildings, including the National Gallery, Parliament, Mining Museum and the Christ Church, and as the city is located roughly in the centre of the country, it is also a good departure point for driving holidays.

We work with Kea, a highly reputable supplier in Namibia. Click here for more information on available vehicles or check out our FAQs on Namibia motorhome rental.

Travelling in Namibia with a Motorhome

Namibia is blessed with some of the most undeveloped landscapes on the planet, including reserves and national parks where things have remained unchanged for many thousands of years. To visit the largest of these head west in your Motorhome to Namib-Naukluft National Park, which covers an area of almost 50,000km² along the coastline. The park features the tallest sand dunes in the world, some towering over 300 metres high. To visit an equally impressive sight, drive your Motorhome to the south east of the park and see the Fish River Canyon, the 2nd largest canyon in the world.

To the north of Namib-Naukluft National Park is the city of Swakopmund, a place where Namibians and foreigners alike head for holidays. Founded in the late 1800s as the main harbour for the area, Swakopmund has developed into a seaside resort city, highly popular with travellers.

Further north of here you can visit one of the most inhospitable places in the world, the famous Skeleton Coast. Named for the many shipwrecks found along the waterline, this is a place where few things can survive. So barren is the area that there are restrictions on when and how you can visit, so parking your Motorhome and taking part in a guided tour in 4WD or light aircraft is the way to go.
