Travelling in Portugal with A Motorhome

The largest city in Portugal is Lisbon, which is also the capital, and is located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean in the countries east. In Lisbon you can visit the famous Jeronimos Monastary or Belem Tower, both from the 16th century, or perhaps head to the Gulbenkian Museum which houses an art collection regarded as one of the best in the world. Not far from Lisbon is another highly recommended destination, Sintra, a historical town complete with a number of impressive castles and palaces. Drive your Motorhome further inland from here, and you can also visit the ancient city of Evora, which features well preserved medieval walls, as well as a 13th century cathedral, and the ruins of a Roman temple which date back almost 2000 years.

Virtually everywhere you go in Portugal you will find amazing places to visit. You can head to the north and visit the city of Porto with its historic city centre, or perhaps head to the south and explore the famous Algarve region, home to many great seaside resorts. Touring along the pristine coastline with your Motorhome, you will come across countless stunning beaches, perfect for swimming and relaxing.
