Colorado Road Safety Fee: Mandatory charge for Denver collections. USD2 + Tax /night, max USD90 + Tax /rental.
New Jersey Security Fee: Mandatory charge for New York collections. USD5 + Tax /night, max USD140 + Tax /rental.
One Way Fees: One way fees apply between USD150-850 + Tax /rental for collecting and returning at different locations, refer to DriveAway Holidays for full details. One way specials include:
- One way fee waived from Las Vegas, Denver or New York to Los Angeles, San Francisco or Las Vegas between 04 January 2012 and 31 May 2012 as the latest drop off.
- One way fee waived from Los Angeles, San Francisco or Las Vegas to Denver between 15 July 2012 and 15 August 2012 as the latest drop off.
- One way fee waived from Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Denver or New York to San Francisco or Las Vegas between 01 October 2012 and 31 October 2012 as the latest drop off.
Conditions:
Calculation of Rates: Rates are based on seasonal 24 hour periods.
Minimum Age: 25 years (21 years upon request).
Maximum Age: 79 years.
Licence Requirement: All drivers must have held a full, valid national licence. The drivers licence must be current and be valid for the whole duration of the rental. In addition, Road Bear recommend that foreign clients have an international driving licence or an English translation of the licence issued by their home country.
Minimum Rental: Standard rates - 7 nights. Inclusive rates - 14 nights. Subject to change in peak periods i.e. Christmas.
Collection Time: Pick up time is between 12pm and 4pm. Clients cannot pick up the vehicle the day they arrive from overseas or trans-continental and Road Bear recommends spending the first night at an airport hotel or motel.
Return Time: Return time is between 8am and 10.30am.
Branch Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, Saturday 8am-1pm. All depots are closed on Sundays and on all statutory holidays including Thanksgiving Day, Memorial Day, Christmas Eve/Day, Boxing Day, Independence Day, New Year’s Eve/Day, Presidents Day.
After Hours: Available on request for an additional charge. A charge of USD30 + Tax /hour applies for a late vehicle return.

Convenience Kits (CK): Standard rates - USD70 + Tax /person. Free for children up to 6 years. Included per person in Inclusive rates. Road Bear must be advised how many passengers are travelling at time of booking. CK Includes: Dooner and cover, sheets, pillow with protector and case, hand towel, bath towel, wash cloth, kitchen towel, cleaning towel, paper towel roll, broom, dust pan and broom, bucket/trash can, clothing hangers, torch, lighter/matches, glass, cup, dinner plate, salad plate, mixing bowl, cutlery, roast slicer, cookware set, can opener, bottle opener, vegetable peeler, turner, basting spoon, slotted spoon, grill fork, whisk, percolator/coffee maker, measuring cup, colander, cutting board, plastic containers, toaster, levellers (levellers are used to be put under the wheel to level out the vehicle if the camping spot is on an incline).
Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI): Standard rates - USD9 + Tax /night. Included in Inclusive rates. The optional SLI coverage provides the customer with an increased limit of liability protection. SLI protects the renter and any authorised driver listed on the rental contract for up to USD1,000,000 towards 3rd party damage claims.
Camping Chairs: USD9 + Tax per chair /rental.
GPS Navigation System: Standard rates - USD100 + Tax /rental, applicable only if Convenience Kits are not purchased. Included in Inclusive rates.
Child Seats: Not available.
Generator Usage: USD3 + Tax /hour, payable at time of drop off.
Insurance/Excess Reduction:
Insurance Excess: USD1,000 + Tax /incident.

Additional Information:
Vehicle Age: Until 31 Oct 11: Guaranteed 2011–2012 models. Until 31 Oct 12: Guaranteed 2012–2013 models. Vehicles cannot be requested by model, mileage or age, only by vehicle category.
Security Deposit: Cash - Not available. Credit Card - Required, deposit debited USD1,000. Road Bear accepts Visa, MasterCard, Euro Card and American Express.
Animals in Vehicle: No animals are permitted inside the motorhomes.
Smoking in Vehicles: Smoking is not permitted in any of the vehicles.
Fuel: Client is advised to return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel, the same as collection.
Storage: Not available at the Road Bear depots.
Cleaning Fee: Indoor cleaning charges will apply if the vehicle is not returned clean.
Tax: Tax is applied to those items paid at time of collection.

Travel Restrictions:
- Travelling within Alaska, Yukon and/or NWT is permitted. Road Bear must be advised at time of booking.
- Travel is not permitted into the Inner city of New York, Montreal or Quebec City (Canada).
- Travel is not permitted on private, gravel, dirt or logging roads and other non-public roads, beaches, etc.
- Travel is not permitted into Mexico.
- Travel is not permitted into Death Valley between 15 June and 15 September.
- Winterisation Note (November – March): Vehicles are winterised in areas with temperatures below freezing point. The water-/waste water system will be drained and cannot be used. USD100 re-winterisation fee and damages caused by freezing will be charged if customer de-winterises system on the road.
