GENERAL
Who we are: DAH Holdings Pty Ltd ABN 67 107 041 912 (“DriveAway Holidays”) is a licensed Travel Agent with I.A.T.A. Accreditation and is a member of the Travel Compensation Fund (TCF), The Australian Federation of Travel Agents Limited (AFTA) and the Council of Australian Tour Operators (CATO).
Application: These terms and conditions apply to any contract made between DriveAway Holidays and any person (referred to as the “Customer”) purchasing goods or services referred to on this website from DriveAway Holidays.
To Qualify for a Peugeot Leasing, you must:
- Reside outside of the European Union,
- Stay in the European Union for no more than 185 days in any consecutive 12 month period,
- Not carry out any activity for gain during your stay (No working Visa’s allowed),
- Must be an Australian Resident,
- Minimum age of 18 with full Australian driver’s license (provisional license not accepted).

Booking: Deliveries must be booked at least 21 days in advance. Late bookings are not guaranteed.
Quotes: Peugeot Leasing quotes are valid for 7 days and are in Australian Dollars. After 7 days, our system will automatically perform a re-quote at that day’s rates.
Deposit: A AUD250 deposit is required at the time of reservation to secure your booking if made outside of 6 weeks of collection. This deposit is non-refundable if the booking is cancelled within 6 weeks of collection.
Payment:
- Peugeot Leasing – DriveAway Holidays requires final payment for Peugeot Leasing 6 weeks prior to departure from Australia, unless specified otherwise. If for any reason final payment is not received by the due date, DriveAway Holidays reserve the right to treat the reservation as a cancellation.
- Travel Agents Note: Payment by credit card is preferred. Alternatively you may pay by cheque, remit payment via: Tias Tips: supplier code DASYD or eNett - 200061. Payment is also acceptable via EFT or direct deposit into the DriveAway bank account. Bank Details: Citibank, BSB – 242000 Account – 232805005 Account Name – DAH Holdings.
Invoices: An invoice is sent upon confirmation of your reservation outlining all aspects of products booked.
Lease Forms: It is essential that original lease forms, together with a photocopy of the registered driver’s passport are returned at least 6 weeks prior to the delivery of your Peugeot. If you hold a European passport, a photocopy of your European passport, a copy of your Australian Permanent Residency or a copy of a utility bill confirming your residency which is 6 months old is also required. Late return of these documents will delay delivery of your vehicle.
Travel Documents: Once payment is received and the lease forms returned, travel documents will be issued. Please note that vouchers are accountable documents and serve as exchange vouchers for products you have booked.
Amendments: No charge, unless applied by Peugeot Sodexa. Amendments cannot be made within 17 days of collection and must be made directly with DriveAway Holidays. If an amendment occurs, DriveAway Holidays reserve the right to re-price. No changes are permitted once vehicle is registered. In some cases, travel agent charges will also apply.
Reissue Fee: No charge, unless applied by Peugeot Sodexa.
Cancellations: If a booking is cancelled outside 6 weeks - No charge. If a booking is cancelled within 6 weeks of collection, a cancellation fee of AUD250 (loss of deposit) + Supplier levied charges will apply.
Refunds: DriveAway Holidays does not authorise the employees of Peugeot Sodexa to promise refunds to clients. Partial refunds will only be considered for unused days of 7 days or more for contracts of 30 days or more. Peugeot Sodexa cancellation fees may apply. All refund claims must be lodged in writing along with the original return receipt and addressed to the attention of DriveAway Holidays – Customer Service Department. Administration charges may apply.
Health and Immigration: Please ensure you comply with all passport, visa and health requirements necessary for the countries you wish to visit. DriveAway Holidays is not responsible for advising on passport, visa or health requirements. Your Travel Agent or doctor will be able to advise you.

Price Beat Guarantee: Refer to the Beat Rate Policy.
#Earlybird Loyalty Bonus: If the registered driver has previously leased a vehicle with Peugeot since 2005, an additional 3 free days will be given.
Rates do not include: Additional fuel or oil, tolls, flat or damaged tyres, fines or penalties due to traffic violations, loss or theft of vehicle keys and transponder card or theft of personal belongings inside the vehicle.
Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend you take out suitable travel insurance cover. This can be arranged through your Travel Agent.
Vehicle: Peugeot vehicles are left hand drive (including collections in London). The definition and/or specifications of the Peugeot vehicles displayed on this website are subject to change without notice.
Duration: Minimum lease period is 21 days, excluding the Expert Tepee vehicles where the minimum is 40 days. Maximum 175 days. Peugeot Leasing is based on calendar days.
Age Limit: Minimum age: 18 years with full Australian driver’s license (provisional license not accepted). Maximum age: No limit.
Driver’s Qualifications: All drivers must hold a full valid drivers licence with a clean driving record for a minimum of one year. A learner or provisional drivers licence is not accepted. An international licence is required for many countries including Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Romania, Slovenia and Spain. Additional Drivers: Additional drivers are free, however the registered driver must be in the vehicle at all times whilst the additional driver is driving. Exception: immediate family members may drive locally without the registered driver in the vehicle. Under no circumstance can the family member take the vehicle across any borders without the registered driver being in the vehicle. Immediate family members are spouse, son or daughter of the registered driver travelling under the same surname and residential address as the registered driver. All additional drivers must comply with all requirements of the lease.
Fuel: All vehicles are supplied with 10-15 litres of fuel free of charge. You are not required to return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel.
Optional Accessories: Optional accessories such as a child seat, ski racks, snow chains and roof bars are available at an additional cost and must be pre-booked and prepaid in Australian Dollars prior to departing Australia. View Peugeot Leasing accessories here.
Tyres: All vehicles are fitted with standard tyres prior to leaving the Peugeot Sodexa factory. Standard tyres are not suitable for all winter conditions and during certain periods of the year. In some countries it is a requirement by law that all vehicles are equipped with winter tyres between November and March. Peugeot Open Europe does not lease or sell snow ‘winter’ tyres. It is the client’s responsibility to purchase the appropriate ‘winter tyres’ whilst overseas and have them fitted and removed at an authorised Peugeot dealer. Snow chains can be prepaid with Driveaway Holidays prior to departure and supplied by Peugeot Sodexa at time of collection, however they are not suitable for highway driving.
Vehicle Service: Generally, the first service for Peugeot HDI 1.6L models is due at 20,000 kilometres and 30,000 kilometres for all other cars. The client is asked to refer to the ‘carnet d’tentretien’ which is delivered with the vehicle for the exact kilometre due date. This service must be performed by an authorised Peugeot garage. It is the responsibility of the driver to contact Peugeot Sodexa direct to obtain details of the nearest authorised Peugeot garage when the first service is due. The full servicing cost of the vehicle is at the driver’s own expense.
Vehicle Return: Before returning your vehicle, it is a requirement to call ahead at least 4 business days prior and arrange your drop-off time. Otherwise Peugeot Sodexa fees may apply. Further conditions apply.
Vehicle Insurance: Your vehicle is covered by comprehensive insurance, which covers accidental damage, vandalism, fire, theft and liability for all occupants up to the seating capacity of the vehicle plus legal defence appeals. There are no deductible excess or collision damage waiver costs. Baggage and personal effects are not covered by insurance. The leased vehicle is insured even when it is driven occasionally by any other person than the contracted holder in so far that he is authorised by the later and that he has a current unrestricted drivers licence valid in the country in which he is driving. The following countries are covered by insurance and for assistance: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus~, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France (including Corsica), Germany, Gibraltar, Greece (including Crete and Greek Islands), Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy (including Sicily and Sardinia), Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco (compulsory national insurance charge applies locally), Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal (including Azores and Madeira), Romania, San Marino, Serbia*, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (including Balearics and Canaries), Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom.
The following countries are covered by insurance only: Albania, Belarus, Israel, Iran, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine.
~The cover of insurance provided for Cyprus is limited to the geographical parts of Cyprus which are under control of the government of the Republic of Cyprus.
*The cover of insurance provided for Serbia is limited to the Republic of Montenegro and the geographical parts of Serbia which are under control of the government of the Republic of Serbia.
Liability
Liability: Certain provisions of the Competition and Consumer Act (including, without limitation, the Australian Consumer Law) and other State, Territory or Commonwealth laws in Australia, as amended or replaced from time to time, (collectively “ACL”) apply to the operation of these terms and conditions and provide consumers (as that expression is used in the ACL) and others with certain rights (referred to collectively as the “consumer guarantees”) in relation to goods or services purchased by those persons. Other than consumer guarantees, which are not excluded, modified or restricted by this provision, DriveAway Holidays does not give any guarantee or warranty or make any representation of any kind, express or implied, with respect to the supply by DriveAway Holidays or others of any goods or services on this website.
Other than in respect of goods or services supplied to consumers or goods or services that are of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use or consumption, DriveAway Holidays’ liability for the breach of any condition or warranty, whether express or implied (other than warranties or conditions in relation to title, encumbrances and quiet possession) is limited, at DriveAway Holidays’ option, to:
- in the case of goods; the replacement of the goods, the supply of equivalent goods, the repair of the goods, the payment of the cost of replacing the goods or of acquiring equivalent goods; or
- in the case of services; the supplying of the services again or the payment of the cost of having the services supplied again.
Subject to rights that the Customer may have under the ACL, which are not excluded, modified or restricted by this provision, DriveAway Holidays is not liable to the Customer or any other person, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, for any loss or damages (including without limitation specific, indirect, consequential or economic loss) howsoever caused arising from any event.
Notwithstanding anything contained on this website, nothing in these terms and conditions:
- excludes, restricts or modifies or purports to have the effect of excluding, restricting or modifying any condition or warranty that is implied by, or consumer guarantee specified by, the ACL or DriveAway Holiday’s liability under any such condition, warranty or guarantee; or
- gives rise to any liability on the Customer’s part or qualifies DriveAway Holiday’s liability in circumstances where DriveAway Holidays is in breach of these terms and conditions, including any conditions or warranties implied, or consumer guarantees specified, by the ACL.
Responsibility for Information and supply of goods or services by Third Parties
Responsibility for Information: Vehicle specifications, photographs, illustrations, third party charges, third party conditions and information relating to goods or services provided by third parties contained on this website (collectively “Information”) are provided by third parties to DriveAway Holidays. All Information is subject to change without notice. The Customer must not rely on this Information. Any descriptions of the goods or services of any third parties in the Information is by way of identification only and the use or reliance on that description by any person shall not constitute any contract between that person and DriveAway Holidays as a sale by description. The Customer must make their own independent enquiries and investigations and undertake their own assessment of any Information before deciding whether or not the goods or services referred to in the Information are suitable for the requirements of the Customer.
Supply of Goods or Services by Third Parties: The goods and services identified on this website may be provided by a third party. In order for the Customer to obtain goods and services provided by a third party, the Customer may be required by that third party to agree to, and be bound by, terms and conditions that are specified by that third party. Any person intending to enter into an agreement with a third party must make their own independent enquiries and assessments in relation to the effect of the terms and conditions of that agreement before doing so. Subject to rights that the Customer may have under the ACL, which are not excluded, modified or restricted by this provision, the Customer acknowledges and agrees that DriveAway Holidays has no control over and no responsibility for any terms and conditions agreed between the Customer and a third party.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed in all respects by the law of the State of New South Wales and the Customer irrevocably submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of New South Wales and the Federal Court of Australia.
