DriveAway Holidays Announces New CEO

DriveAway Holidays today announced that Chris Hamill has been appointed as Company Director and CEO of DriveAway Holidays.

Hamill, previously the Chief Executive of Sales and Marketing brings to the role 19 years car rental experience in the Australasian Market. Beginning his career with DriveAway Holidays in 1992, Hamill was involved in the early years at DriveAway in Manly, Sydney. He left DriveAway in 1999 to join former business partner Michael Hay at World Cars for 9 years which they then merged with DriveAway Holidays almost 3 years ago.

“It’s amazing that I am back at the company where it all began” said Hamill. “19 years ago, this seemed an impossible dream however I am looking forward to developing the DriveAway Holidays business even further this year. I am a big believer in that you sell what you believe in and I think that 19 years in self-drive is real proof that I am a real supporter of the independent driving holiday”

Along with a back to basics approach, Hamill makes no secret of his intentions to develop the business in New Zealand where support for DriveAway is growing quickly.

Hamill hopes to make some announcements shortly regarding some new key management joining the DriveAway team.
