From as little as AUD5.50* per day DriveAway Hire Car Excess Insurance will reimburse up to AUD5,000 of the amount charged by the car rental supplier in the event of damage or theft to a rental vehicle. As rental rates often only include basic insurance, this value-add product gives travel agents the opportunity to reassure their clients.

Hire Car Excess Insurance product is booked alongside and comes with a 14 day cooling off period – unless the vehicle is collected within this period.

To add DriveAway Hire Car Excess Insurance onto a car rental booking, select the Hire Car Insurance Excess option in the last step of the online booking engine or call our Reservations Team on 1300 363 500 to book by phone. Please note that Hire Car Excess Insurance must be taken out prior to collection.
