Save Big - Rent GPS units in Australia to use in Europe and USA
DriveAway Holidays is offering the latest GPS systems for Australians planning a self-drive holiday in Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand – with the advantage of not only costing from just $9.90 a day, but with courier delivery in Australia so there’s time to “learn the ropes” of the unit before leaving home.
It makes for big savings, as GPS units rented in Europe and the USA can cost up to 50% more than DriveAway Holidays’ price, and often come with restrictions and limited availability.
“And by paying in Australian dollars before leaving home, it ensures there are no nasty surprises because of currency fluctuations once you get to Europe or the USA,” said Chief Marketing Officer, Chris Hamill. “Further, we cap rental at 40-days, so if you need your GPS for longer than this the maximum you would pay in Europe or America would be AU$451.”
DriveAway Holidays’ GPS units are Gamin Nuvi 300 models and feature full maps, travel guides, locations of amenities, a currency converter, MP3 player, and can be used in pedestrian mode as well as in-car.
“Its also better value than taking your own GPS and buying new maps for it – in Europe, for instance, maps are still expensive, and if you are only using it once it is a waste of money, while if you keep it you’ll find its most likely out of date the next time you travel,” Mr Hamill said.
