The Interislander is an efficient and convenient service that transports foot passengers and vehicles between Wellington, on the North Island and Picton, on the South Island. Not your average ferry services, the Interislander is one of the most spectacular short cruises in the world introducing passengers to the stunning Marlborough Sounds. Travelling with a vehicle is easy, there is lots of space and you simply drive the vehicle on and off the ferry. Onboard you have access to various cafes and bars plus the latest movie releases and a children’s corner. Take a stroll around the deck or relax in comfort in one of the lounges where the views through the large windows are as equally impressive.

Important Information

*From prices: Correct at date of issue and are based on one way travel in low season in Australian Dollars. Subject to availability and seasonal surcharges. Motorhome fares do not include driver or passengers fares, these are additional as per above adult fares. Surcharges apply for all vehicles over 5.5m long and are charged per every additional 50cm of vehicle length.
Car rental vehicles are not permitted onboard and must be dropped off at the departure Ferry Port prior to boarding and another vehicle may be picked up at the arrival Ferry Port after disembarkation.
Kaitaki Plus: is restricted to passengers aged 18 years or over only.
Child Prices: 2-17 years, under 2 years travel free. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Check-in: Minimum 45 minutes for foot passengers and min 60 minutes for clients with vehicles.
