Collecting Your Rental Car

License and Credit Card Requirements

When collecting a car overseas, especially in a country which does not use English you may be required to have a international driving permit. This is proof that you hold a valid driver license in your home country. This needs to be carried with your home license and is available from your local roads authority. Be sure to check the terms and conditions of your rental to see if you need it. Remember that although you may not be asked at collection to present your international driving permit, if pulled over by the local authorities you may get fined for not having it.
