
DriveAway Refundable Breakdown Rate is our promise to reimburse the damage car rental excess paid if your rental car suffers a breakdown.
You will be reimbursed up to AUD3,500, for the amount of excess which you are required to pay under the vehicle rental agreement for any single incident or series of incidents under a single vehicle rental agreement in respect of breakdown or damage to the rental vehicle including:
Provided that you are held responsible as declared in the vehicle rental agreement for the excess
Notify DriveAway of any incidents potentially leading to a refund under this Refundable Breakdown Rate by locating your reservation in Manage My Bookings and select the option "Contact our Customer Service Team", located at the bottom of the page. The submission must be made within 150 days from the end of your rental. Not doing so may void this agreement.
We will require your rental documentation listed under 'Refund Procedure' on the PDF below.
If any documents are missing, DriveAway will request them from the supplier. Providing complete information and documentation facilitates quicker processing. Requests for additional information or missing documents from suppliers have a minimum response time of 3 weeks.
