Revelstoke is a popular ski destination year-round mountain destination for nature enthusiasts; take in the stunning views of rugged mountains, crisp glaciers, lush forests and waterfalls. Visit the Revelstoke Railway Museum and Three Valley Heritage Ghost Town. The Giant Cedars Boardwalk Trail displays magnificent cedar trees and other plants in an enjoyable short stroll.
Two nearby national parks, Mount Revelstoke and Glacier National Park offer adventurers world-class snowmobiling, hiking and mountain biking.

On the way to Lake Louise, make a quick stop at Radium Hot Springs to soak in their natural pools. The hot springs are located in the middle of a mountain with trees all around it.

Stay on Icefields Parkway and head north to Jasper. Stop at Sunwapta Falls for a quick 20-minute walk (1.3km) and check the stunning views of the three waterfalls spread over the Sunwapta River.
Jasper is the world's second-largest dark sky preserve and on any clear night it feels you can see millions of stars in the sky. Camping under the stars or a visit to Jasper Planetarium will enrich this experience.
Take the seven-minute ride up Whistlers Mountain on the Jasper SkyTram to an elevation of 2,285 metres. At the top, you will have one of the best views in the entire Canadian Rockies, surrounded by six mountain ranges.
The Glacier Skywalk is a cliff-edge walkway where a glass floor separates you from a 280m drop.

Head south via Icefields Parkway and take a quick detour to Athabasca Falls. The waterfall and surroundings are beautiful all year around, even when the water is frozen in winter.
Head North via Yellowhead Highway and enjoy the last leg of this road trip. Make a stop at the Beaver Boardwalk, located at the west end of Maxwell Lake. There is an elevated observation tower that overlooks the beaver lodge with the Rocky Mountains in the background. Patient observers can watch the beaver colony members take the branches and float them along a canal paralleling the boardwalk.
When in Edmonton, stroll around Whyte Avenue and West Edmonton Mall for good restaurants and shopping. For the culture enthusiasts, visit the Muttart Conservatory and Royal Alberta Museum.
