North Lake Tahoe in Summer

Day 1

Head to the Tahoe House Bakery for amazing baked goods and great coffee located one mile south of Tahoe City on Highway 89. Enjoy your day by renting beach cruiser bicycles after stopping into the Visitor Information Center in Tahoe City and pedal down the paved bike path to Sunnyside for a lakefront lunch.

Have a casual bike ride back to the Tahoe City Marina.

Visit Squaw Valley, home of the 1960 Winter Olympics and take a scenic Aerial Tram ride up to their mid-mountain High Camp for views of Lake Tahoe, swimming, a hot tub, and Olympic Museum, hiking trails and restaurants. Download the Aerial Tram or hike down to the Village at Squaw and explore the shops, not to miss the Keoki Flagg Gallery for one of a kind photos and art.

Have dinner at the Plumpjack Squaw Valley Inn’s award-winning restaurant and wine list with a less formal dining option in their bar.

Day 2

Explore Northstar California’s mountain bike park and hiking trails that connect to the infamous Tahoe Rim Trail or make a tee time at one of the area’s signature golf courses.

After a mid-mountain lunch or a bite at the golf course, drive to Sand Harbor State Park, one of the most photographed regions of Lake Tahoe. Take a dip in the crystal clear, pristine waters layered in deep shades of blue and relax on the sand while soaking in the area’s famous sunshine. Kayaks and stand-up paddleboards are available to rent by the hour.

Retrace your steps by car less than 10 minutes to the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe. Grab a signature cocktail at their pier bar while watching boats sail and motor past. Sign up for a sunset cruise on the Sierra Cloud Catamaran, choose from a wealth of water activities available with Action Watersports, play beach volleyball, relax on a lounge chair with cocktail service or listen to live music while enjoying a drink at the bar of the Lone Eagle Grill.

Splurge on dinner at the lakefront and newly remodeled Lone Eagle Grill, enjoying an incredible meal while the sun dips below Lake Tahoe’s peaks.

Day 3

Explore the outdoors, shop and pamper yourself!
